M6 Junction 9 (Wednesbury) The southbound exit slip road of the M6 at junction 9 will be closed overnight from 9.30pm to 6.00am from Saturday 14 January 2012 to Tuesday 17 January 2012 and the southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9.30pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 17 January 2012 to Friday 20 January 2012 for bridge joint repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

North East roadworks update 14-20 January 2012

A1(M), Junction 56, County DurhamSlight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 56 for bridge repair works. There will be lane closures in place northbound with hardshoulder running from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 16 - 20 January.

The following information summarises the work being carried out this coming week. REMINDER A14 HUNTINGDON - WEEKEND CARRIAGEWAY CLOSURES FOR BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS Improvement work on four bridges on the A14 near Huntingdon is set to start on Friday 13 January. The work will be carried out on the Ouse viaduct, River Ouse bridge and Cow Lane bridges between junction 23 Spittals Interchange and junction 24 Godmanchester. The A14 will be closed between these junctions, in one direction only, for seven consecutive weekends: the westbound carriageway will be closed for four consecutive weekends between 10pm on Friday nights, starting on Friday 13 January, and 5am on Monday mornings. The eastbound carriageway closures will be at the same times for three consecutive weekends, starting on Friday 10 February. There will also be up to eight weekday overnight closures. Clearly signed diversion routes eastbound will be in place via the A1 Brampton Hut and the A428 St Neots to re-join the A14 at Girton Interchange, with the westbound diversion in reverse.

A5 MILTON KEYNES: WORK TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FLOODING

A A AA scheme to reduce the risk of flooding on the A5 near Milton Keynes is due to begin next week. The project will involve the replacement of filter drains, repairs to drainage pipes and clearing ditches in both directions between the junction with the A4146 Kelly's Kitchen roundabout and the A422 Abbey Hill roundabout.

Maintenance work starts on A14 near Ipswich

Work to improve journeys on a section of the A14 westbound near Ipswich in Suffolk is due to start on Thursday (26 January). The work will involve replacing three concrete sections in Lane 2 of the westbound carriageway next to Wherstead Interchange (junction 56) with an asphalt surface. It will take place overnight for four nights as well during daytime hours over one weekend.

M1, Junction 32 (Thurcroft), east of Sheffield
Slight delays are expected on the M1 at Junction 32 (Thurcroft) due to barrier works. There will be narrow lanes, some hard shoulder running and a 50mph speed limit until 31 March. In addition, slight delays are expected at the M1/M18 junction at Thurcroft due to bridge work. The southbound carriageway of the link road between the M18 and M1 will be closed until 31 January between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will operate via the M1 northbound to Junction 33 and rejoin M1 southbound to Junction 32. The northbound carriageway of the link road between the M18 and M1 will be closed 29 January to 3 February between 8pm and 6am. A diversion will operate via M1 southbound to Junction 31 and rejoin M1 northbound to Junction 32.

A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
