Whistle blowing

The High­ways Agency (HA) is com­mit­ted to high stan­dards of hon­esty and account­abil­ity in line with the Civil Ser­vice Code.  As such it requires all its staff and con­trac­tors to act with hon­esty and to safe­guard pub­lic resources.

If you are con­cerned about any action or deci­sion taken by the HA, or by an indi­vid­ual or com­pany employed by the HA, you can use the whis­tle blow­ing arrange­ments to report your concern.

Report your con­cern to the High­ways Agency 24 hour whis­tle blow­ing and anti-fraud con­fi­den­tial hot­line: 0121 678 8334 or e-mail: HA_Whistle_Blowing@highways.gsi.gov.uk and pro­vide as much infor­ma­tion as pos­si­ble so that prompt and appro­pri­ate action can be taken. Alter­na­tively you may write to A&A (Audit & Assur­ance), High­ways Agency, 11th Floor, The Cube, 199 Wharf­side Street, Birm­ing­ham B1 1RN and mark the enve­lope “Confidential”.

If you report a con­cern it will be treated with total con­fi­den­tial­ity and in a sen­si­tive man­ner. It is impor­tant that you pro­vide con­tact details in case addi­tional infor­ma­tion is needed to fol­low up your complaint.
