Highways Agency Sustainable Development Vision and Action Plan 2008-09
In June 2007, we produced our first sustainable development action plan. We brought together our specialists and technical advisors on the various strands of sustainability into a project board to take forward our vision for how we support sustainable development. By clearly demonstrating how to apply sustainable development principles and priorities to our business we can deliver benefits that will be felt beyond the Highways Agency. Through positive change in how we carry out our business, we can act as an inspiration to others.
Our new sustainable development vision and action plan 2008-09, focuses on the priorities for UK action set out in the Government’s strategy for delivering a better quality of life through sustainable development. This clear national direction is relevant to our own staff, our supply chain and our customers.
