This leaflet seeks to provide initial advice for anyone planning or intending to promote a development that would connect onto, and/or might generate a material traffic impact on the trunk road network - the national strategic road network managed on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport by the Highways Agency. It explains who to contact at the Highways Agency, what the Agency will need to know, and the service the Agency seeks to provide.
