Build your own traffic information services
System-to-system exchange of real-time traffic data
System-to-system data feeds
You can receive real-time machine-readable data from the National Traffic Control Centre (NTCC) data directly via a system-to-system link. This can be used to design and build your own traffic information service or enrich your existing traffic data. There are various data formats and delivery methods available.
How can this help you?
- Enables you to integrate or build your own traffic application with our data
- Saves time and effort by directly importing our data into your system; avoiding the need to manually re-key the information
- Your operators can work with NTCC data using systems they are already familiar with
- Meets information sharing obligations required by the Traffic Management Act 2004 (for local traffic authorities)
Help from the Travel Information Highway (TIH) community
The TIH community is an association of organisations who have an interest in exchanging travel information using an agreed set of rules, commonly known as the TIH Principles. The aim of the TIH community is to help members build universal system-to-system links to exchange travel information, saving money, time, duplication and effort. Membership to the TIH community is FREE.
NTCC is a member of the TIH community and offers TIH compliant data feeds. Technical experts are on hand to help you set up system-to-system data exchanges with NTCC.
Who can benefit?
- Local Traffic Authorities
- Media organisations
- Major traffic generators (e.g.entertainment/sports venues, transport facilities)
