TIM Magazine

September 2007

The Traffic Incident Management Magazine, developed with the Agency’s Traffic Learning Centre (TLC) is designed for road responders and the Traffic Officer Service. Unlike the Traffic Incident Management Bulletin, the magazine acts as a learning tool for the Traffic Officer Service and provides a platform for sharing experiences and innovative traffic incident management practices.

The TIM Magazine is now in its third edition and is circulated widely. This mechanism has proved particularly popular with the on-road Traffic Officers and road responders as they have limited opportunity to access e-communications.

Past features and articles include:

  • Road Life - Stories from the road
  • Co-ordinated command is vital to effective incident management
  • Adverse weather initiatives
  • Service Providers role in the incident management process
  • Traffic Officer Service training and development
  • Specific incidents

The latest edition is due out in early October 2007. Once published you can obtain a hardcopy by contacting the Traffic Learning Centre at TLC@highways.gsi.gov.uk
