Highways Agency Lean Maturity Assessment Toolkit (HALMAT) Now Available

The Highways Agency has developed a methodology for assessing supply chain adoption of a continuous improvement culture. This is aligned with the new ASC contract, Performance Management Frameworks and KPIs that apply to current and future suppliers. Initial work to develop the methodology started out in 2010/11, a key part of which was the lean maturity self-assessment survey carried out by 21 suppliers (results available in the Members Area).

The first stage of implementation in 2011/12 is to baseline the supply chain and help the development of action plans to improve assessment results and deliver efficiency improvements, it is envisaged that only after the first year will the methodology be used for performance assessment and supplier selection.

Please find the tookit in  Guide and Toolkits.
