Roads Academy
Roads Academy
The Roads Academy has been set up across the Highways Agency and the supply chain to help secure a step change in the way we collectively deliver our activity.
Establishing the Roads Academy is making the roads sector a more attractive place to work and helping to ensure we are better placed to meet our objectives, by developing and attracting staff.
People taking part in the Academy programme will work towards a Post Graduate Award, accredited to Masters Level, worth 30 CAT scores. The qualification is recognised across the sector, which acts as an excellent opportunity to help people develop their skills and careers within the roads industry.
The course has been developed with input from both academic and industry expertise with proven academic and delivery partners. Warwick University developed and delivers the course content for Cohort 1 of the Academy.
The Roads Academy is part of a strategic solution to stimulate a sustainable step change in the industry.
The initiative brings the Agency and supply chain together as part of a shared learning experience, helping to share best practice and understand each other's needs. It helps us all see things from each other's perspective and improve collaborative working between people working in the sector.
