Traffic Technology Systems

The Traffic Technology team will be building relationships with suppliers and developing new processes that will contribute towards the following overlying principles of the Highways Agency's Procurement Strategy:

  • An integrated and incentivised supply chain.
  • Maintaining a competitive and sustainable supply chain.
  • Selection of suppliers on the basis of best value, i.e., the optimal combination of quality and price.
  • Partnership approach based upon close working relationships.
  • Performance measurement and continual improvement targets.

The following table shows contracts for services and supplies relating to roadside technology equipment:

Any questions regarding the above two tables, can be sent by e-mail to the Procurement South West Operations Team:PSW.OPS@highways.gsi.gov.uk

PLEASE NOTE:

The Highways Agency (HA) strategy for procuring future Traffic Technology requirements will be through centralised Public Sector procurement vehicles.

The main vehicle is expected to be the Government Procurement Service (formerly Buying Solutions) Traffic Management Technology (TMT) Framework awarded in October 2011. Details of this framework can be found through the Frameworks and Agreements index upon the Government Procurement Service website.

If you wish to do business with the HA in the future, it is recommended that you investigate the opportunities to become part of the Supply Chain for this Framework.

If there is a requirement that cannot be let through the TMT Framework, it will appear on the Forthcoming Contracts table above. If the non TMT requirement value is above the OJEU threshold, it will also be published on Tenders Electronic Daily: http://ted.europa.eu/
