Traffic Officers / RCC / Outstation Contracts
The Highways Agency has created a new service on England's motorways to help manage incidents and keep traffic moving. The Traffic Officer Service puts drivers at the forefront of the Highways Agency's operations to help tackle the growing problems of congestion on our roads.

The Traffic Officer Procurement team will be building relationships with suppliers and developing new processes that will contribute towards the following overlying principles of the Highways Agency's Procurement Strategy:
- An integrated and incentivised supply chain.
- Maintaining a competitive and sustainable supply chain.
- Selection of suppliers on the basis of best value, i.e., the optimal combination of quality and price.
- Partnership approach based upon close working relationships.
- Performance measurement and continual improvement targets.
