What to check:

• Fuel
• Oil
• Anti-freeze and screen wash levels
• Worn wiper blades
• Battery
• Light Bulbs
• Tyre pressure
• Depth of tyre tread.

What to carry with you

Your emergency kit should contain:

• Map
• Battery jump leads
• Torch
• First aid kit
• Food and water
• Warm clothes
• Ice scraper

During severe weather you should also carry:

• Shovel
• Pair of boots
• Blanket
• Medication that you might need
