The following is a list of Freedom of Information requests responded to by the Highways Agency in June 2006.
To preserve the integrity of the original documents all files have been provided as Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files, and consequently have not been formatted for accessibility. Some responses to the FOI requests consist of a large number of documents that are not held in an electronic format. Where practical we have scanned the documents concerned and made them available online. However, in certain cases the volume of files involved has made this impractical and we have provided the requested information in a hard copy format only.

| A628 Mottram Tintwistle bypass - Letters of Objection and Support | 19 June 2006 A request was made to see the letters of objection and support that the Highways Agency has received concerning the draft orders for the A628 Mottram Tintwistle bypass. | A57/A628 Mottram Tintwistle Bypass – Traffic Flow Information | 16 June 2006 A request was received for traffic flow figures for roads listed in the SPITS Traffic Restraint section of the Forecasting Report, and for Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) flow figures for the unrestrained bypass. | A57/A628 Mottram Tintwistle Bypass and Route Restraint Measures | 13 June 2006 A request was made under FOI to know why the Highways Agency had not considered the use of Road User Charging for the A628 and A57. It was also asked if the Highways Agency had calculated the cost involved in extending the cut and cover tunnel so that Mottram showground can be re-instated after the road is built. Finally, the customer asked how many objections and support letters have been received for the proposed bypass. CRS Item No. 497129 |
| Traffic Officer Service – Financial Information | 12 June 2006 An FOI request was received for financial information relating to the Highways Agency’s Traffic Officer Service. The customer asked for information on the total capital costs incurred in setting up the Regional Control Centres, ancillary buildings and Traffic Officer Service, the total running costs to support the service, the estimated capital cost to be incurred from April 2006 until March 2007 to complete the rollout, and the estimated annual running cost from April 2006 until March 2007 to support the whole service. | A47 Peterborough Welland Road Junction - Give Way Markings and Accident Report | 9 June 2006 A request was received for information on when Give Way markings were completed on the A47 at the Welland Road junction, and whether they were in place before a fatal accident on 17 May 2006. | A453 Trunk Road Clifton Lane Improvement - Inspector's Report | 8 June 2006 A request was made for evidence given at the 1996 public inquiry into the A453 Trunk Road Clifton Lane Improvement and for a copy of the Inspector's report.
