An advocate of change, you’ll bring constant innovation and improvement to our traffic technology. You’ll do this by testing new ideas to see if they’re effective in providing better standards for us, as well as our customers.
This will include accurate monthly forecasts of project outcomes, delivering these outcomes on time and to budget, as well as developing effective relationships with your managers, colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
You’ll need enthusiasm and the ability to devise dynamic and exciting solutions that’ll manage demand on our roads.
This will involve helping your manager keep track of contracts and budgets – even taking full responsibility for agreed work-strands at times - and combining your technical skills with your experience to deliver intelligent traffic systems for the future.
You’ll also need to demonstrate practical skills and have an understanding of traffic, electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer systems or any other similar technologies.
Project management skills (ideally PRINCE2) are important too. Based on your background, you could find yourself working on anything from our command & control, telecommunications, to our traffic control and highway-electrical systems.
So, if you’ve a degree in engineering or a science discipline (or another relevant qualification) or a reasonable amount of experience in the industry, we want to meet you.
