Using Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and PRINCE2 methodology, you’ll take on the responsibilities of managing anything from a single project to a whole portfolio. You’ll even take charge of the day-to-day management of the Project Team.

In short, it’ll be down to you to ensure our traffic technologies keep our roads safe and reliable.

This will include financial reporting and forecasting to ensure value for money on our contractual and project resources, as well as developing effective relationships with your managers, colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.

Other tasks will involve supporting your Team Leader regarding the business plan - especially when concerning customers and commissioning work from other directorates.

You’ll demonstrate a high level of expertise, an understanding of highway-technologies, and the ability to meet customers’ needs with expanding ideas.

Based on your background in science, electrical engineering, traffic, telecommunications or computer systems, you could find yourself working on anything from our command & control, telecommunications, to our traffic control and highway-electrical systems.

So, if you’ve a minimum 2.2 degree in an engineering or science discipline (or another relevant qualification) or a reasonable amount of experience in the industry, we want to meet you.
