As a Traffic Technologist, you’ll help with the development and implementation of innovative traffic technology. This will include financial reporting and forecasting to ensure value for money on our contractual and project resources, as well as developing effective relationships with your managers, colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
You’ll demonstrate practical skills and have experience of traffic, science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer systems or any other similar technologies. Also, you’ll implement your project and programme support management skills (ideally PRINCE2) into tackling whole-life support services in real-time operational environments.
An understanding of national highway standards, traffic control and Intelligent Transport Systems is important too.
Based on your background and experience, you could find yourself working on anything from our command & control, telecommunications, to our traffic management and highway-electrical systems.
So, if you’ve a minimum 2.2 degree in an engineering or science discipline (or another relevant qualification) or a reasonable amount of experience in the industry, we want to meet you.
