Our Centre of Excellence will be key to successfully maintaining and improving the safety and reliability of the strategic road network in England. We are currently investing £11billion in large, complex projects and our Centre of Excellence will at the heart of these aims by providing the support to enable world-class delivery.
Contributing to the roll out and improvement of Project and Programme Management (PPM) skills across the agency, you will be pivotal to developing the role of our Centre of Excellence in relation to PPM. As you establish best practise across the Highways Agency and Major Projects, you will encourage continuous improvement and provide training as you improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Carrying out OGC (Office of Government Commerce) Gateway reviews as appropriate, you will provide OGC management of the DGC (Departmental Gateway Co-ordinator) encouraging continuous development of the DGC role. Acting as the brand protector for the OGC Gateway, you will be the first port of call for all Gateway enquiries and reviews.
A natural manager, leader and strategic thinker, we need you to have extensive understanding of Project Management - including detailed knowledge of PPM tools and techniques - and experience of applying these in previous roles. Able to analyse and effectively use evidence, you must have a track record of working successfully with a wide range of stakeholders to affect positive change within a complex organisation.
