Graduates

First things first, you'll need to be academically bright, with a minimum 2:2 degree. Perhaps you have graduated recently or maybe you have gained some work experience since university.  For the generalist route to leadership this can be in any discipline, but for the engineering route you must have a BEng or MEng accredited by the ICE or IET.

But that's only the start. To be one of our future leaders, you'll need to bring plenty of other competencies and characteristics that set you apart. During the whole selection process, including your application form, we'll be looking for evidence of core skills and behaviours such as leadership, working with people, communicating, influencing, problem solving and prioritising. So it's as well to do a little self-evaluation to see if you're on the right road.

That's why we have designed a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (34KB PDF) to help you decide if our Graduate Leadership Development Scheme is right for you. It's for your use only and does not form part of the application process. But it will give you some very useful pointers.
