Highways Agency advises road users to allow extra time for motorway journeys in Nottinghamshire, Birmingham and Wiltshire this weekend

As one overbridge is demolished on the M4 near Swindon, another will be removed on the M1 in Nottinghamshire; and at the same time work will continue to upgrading the traffic signs and signals on the M40 and M42, to expand the active traffic management in use around Birmingham.

All three sets of works will require closing the motorway, but in order to limit any delays to road users, the closures will only take place overnight at the weekend to coincide with the quietest time on the motorways.
