Weather Watch

Wednesday Evening and Night:

Heavy rain will affect many routes this evening and at first tonight. Some of the heaviest downpours will be across the East Midlands and into Yorkshire, along with parts of the southeast. Expect poor visibility to suddenly arrive in the heavy rain, and road users are therefore advised to reduce speed in such conditions and take note of any warning signs. On the other hand, there will be good dry periods, particularly in more northern counties. During the night, most of the showers will move away, so journeys later in the night should be completed on drier roads with good visibility although some showers will still affect the northwest.

Thursday:

Another day of dry and fine spells mixed with brief but heavy showers is expected, the showers mainly in more central and southern areas.
