Reminder: M4 westbound Membury services closed overnight Saturday

HIGHWAYS AGENCY News Release issued by COI News Distribution Service on 02 July 2010

Road users are reminded the westbound Membury motorway service area, between junctions 14 and 15 of the M4 in Berkshire, will be unavailable overnight on Saturday.

The westbound entry and exit slip roads at the Membury service area will be closed for safety improvements from 8pm on Saturday 3 July until and 9am on Sunday 4 July 2010.

While Membury is closed, road users should use Chieveley Services instead, located just off the M4 at junction 13.

The work is part of a project to resurface sections of the M4 between Membury Services and Woodlands St Mary, as well as installing a new concrete safety barrier in the central reservation.

There are a number of weekend slip road closures planned for safety improvements to the Membury services slip roads that will be separately announced.

Work is expected to be completed by the middle of August 2010.
