M4

The M4 motor­way is part of both the Eng­lish and Welsh road net­work, con­nect­ing Lon­don to South Wales.

Major des­ti­na­tions directly acces­si­ble from the M4 junc­tions include Heathrow Air­port, Read­ing, Swin­don, Bris­tol, New­port, Cardiff and Swansea.

There are 120.7 miles of the M4 motor­way in Eng­land, includ­ing the sec­ond Sev­ern Cross­ing which opened in 1996. The orig­i­nal Sev­ern cross­ing built in 1966 is now car­ries the M48.
