A50 Sawley Roundabout, Leicestershire
The Highways Agency is intending to dispose of the freehold interest in three pieces of land adjoining the A50 north of Sawley Roundabout, Lockington, Leicestershire. This land was acquired by Compulsory Purchase Order in 1951.
This is to notify the previous owner, Henry Wright Whitaker (formerly of Oldfield, McKinley Road, Bournemouth) or his successors in title, that under the Crichel Down Rules, our interpretation is that Rule 10 exempts us from offering back the land to the former owners or their successors in title as the land has materially changed since acquisition as it is now former highway and verge.
This notification will remain on our website for a maximum period of 2 months, after which time the land will be sold. Any correspondence regarding this matter should be addressed to:
