M62 Land at Dig Gate Lane, Milnrow, Rochdale
The Highways Agency is intending to dispose of the freehold interest in a small area of land lying to the South-East of Broad Shaw Lane, Rochdale, adjacent to the M62 and Dig Gate Lane. This land was acquired by Compulsory Purchase Order in 1977.
This is to notify the previous owner, Mr. S Croston or their successors in title, that under the Crichel Down Rules, our interpretation is that Rule 15(3) exempts us from offering back the land to the former owners or their successors in title, where in the opinion of the disposing body, the area of land is so small that its sale would not be commercially worthwhile.
This notification will remain on our website for a maximum period of 2 months, after which time the land will be sold. Any correspondence regarding this matter should be addressed to:
