Crichel Down Rules - Search for Former Owners or Successors
Disposal of Surplus Land being 158 square metres of land adjacent to 4 Curlew Close, Sundorne Grove, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY1 4TS
The Highways Agency is intending to dispose of their freehold interest in 158 square metres of land adjacent to 4 Curlew Close, Sundorne Grove, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This land was acquired by Compulsory Purchase Order on 15 December 2000.
This is to notify the previous owners, Elspeth Georgia Longmore, William Hugh Longmore and Joseph Newell, or their successors in title, that under the Crichel Down Rules, our interpretation is that Rule 10 exempts us from offering the land back to the former owners or their successors in title as the land has materially changed since acquisition as it is now a strip of grassland adjoining the local highway.
This notification will remain on our website for a maximum period of 2 months, after which time the land will be sold. Any correspondence regarding this matter should be addressed to -
