Area 14
Where is Area 14 and who looks after it?
Area 14 is comprised of the motorways and trunk roads in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Tees Valley, Durham and North Yorkshire.
Since July 2003 we have employed a Managing Agent Contractor, A-One Integrated Highway Services, to maintain and carry out minor improvements to the road network in Area 14 on our behalf. The area also covers part of the privately financed A69 trunk road from Carlisle to Newcastle, though this is managed separately by Road Link Ltd and the privately financed A19 trunk road from Dishforth to Tyne Tunnel managed by Autolink Ltd.
