The Project Control Framework

This framework sets out how we, together with the Department for Transport, manage and deliver major road improvement projects.

M2

The M2 is a motorway located in Kent and links Rochester and Faversham and is a contributory route towards the port of Dover. It was constructed in stages in the 1960s, with sections opening between 1963 and 1965.

The motorway is 25.7 miles long and acts as a bypass for the A2 which travels through the centre of several town centres in Kent. Near where it crosses the river Medway, the M2 runs roughly parallel with Channel Tunnel rail services.
