The Strategy

Route Problems and Issues

Problems and Issues along the route have mainly been derived from stakeholder comments made as part of the stakeholder consultation events. Some Problems and Issues have also been identified through other meetings and direct communication. Data collated to assist in the preparation of the Strategy has also been used to identify problems on the route and has assisted in verifying some of the stakeholder comments.

The Problems and Issues identified during the study have been categorised under the Government's Five Objectives for Transport: - Safety, Environment, Accessibility, Integration and Economy.

The Problems and Issues and their relationship with the Route Outcomes, can be seen in the schedules provided in Appendix 4.
