The Project
The Highways Agency completed a programme of renewing white lining on the A1 Slip-roads. The work was held in abeyance pending completion of the A1 Coddington-Balderton major maintenance scheme, which is to the north of the slip-roads. The need for the re-lining work followed a survey of the condition of the existing lining.
The lining work took place at A1 southbound entry slip-road south of Long Bennington; the northbound on and off slip-roads at the A1/A52 junction near Barrowby, Grantham and the northbound on and off slip-roads at the A1's junction with the A607, Harlaxton.
The work was carried out on two consecutive evenings starting on Tuesday 13 June at 20.00 hrs working through the night to 06.00 hrs the work was completed by 06.00 on Thursday 15 June.
