The Project
On 31 July 2006, work started on a scheme to provide traffic signals on the A14, on the roundabout where it passes under the A1. This work improved traffic flow and safety. At the same time, the opportunity was taken to make some other improvements. They were to:
- widen parts of the roundabout,
- put a new road surface around the roundabout,
- improve road signs and markings,
- provide improved lighting,
- provide anti-skid surfacing.
Work was completed in December 2006.
