On 1st April 2008 we launched the Project Control Framework. The Framework sets out how we, together with the Department for Transport, manage and deliver major improvement projects.

Scheme Development
- Dec 2000 - A feasibility study commenced to look at possible improvements to the junction
- June 2002 - Public Consultation on a number of junction options
- Feb 2003 - Preferred Route announced by the Minister of State
- July 2004 - Public Information Exhibition to present Local Road Network options
- 2004-08 - Further options identified
- June 2008 - Public Consultation of three junction options and three local road network options
- February 2009 - Preferred Route announced
- February 2010 - Draft Orders published
- Winter 2010 - Public Inquiry (if required)
- Summer 2011 - Secretary of State's decision expected
- Autumn 2011 - Start of Works
