The Project
Repairs to the bridge carrying the A6121 over the A1 Trunk Road at Tinwell, west of Stamford, began on Monday 16th October 2006 and were completed in late March 2007.
The road surface over the bridge had become uneven, partly due to the ingress of water at the joints at the bridge ends.
The work involved removing the damaged road surface, replacing the waterproofing layer and the bridge joints, and laying a new road surface.
This work will improve the road surface and protect the bridge from deterioration, prolonging its life.
