The Project
Works are planned for the A46 / A617 / A616, B6326 junction, Newark.
They will be carried out from Monday 4 September 2006 until Friday 8 September 2006 between the hours of 0930 and 1530 during the day and between 1900 and 0600 during the night.
The work is to highlight to drivers that there are two hazards within a short space - the roundabout and the pedestrian crossing.
On the A46 southbound approach, two signs will be erected - a traffic signals warning sign, and a roundabout warning sign. On the other A46 approach an existing sign will be relocated. Rumble strips will be placed on the road surface on the approach to the crossing from the A1.
Traffic Management
Traffic restrictions will include single lane closures with temporary two-way traffic signals.
