Structural improvement work on two bridges over the A1 at Little Ponton, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, began on Monday 2nd October and was completed on Thursday 21st December 2006.
The supports for the B1174 bridge, which takes traffic from the northbound A1 towards Grantham, and the nearby Stroxton Lane bridge, will be strengthened with additional concrete.
These essential improvements has brought these two bridges up to modern standards, extending their life and protecting them from vehicle impacts.
