Project
The works will be at various locations in bus laybys between Leicester and Lincoln and are designed to improve the accessibility of public transport for those with mobility difficulties.
The height of the kerbs will be raised at 15 bus stops in laybys off the A46 to help passengers get on and off buses - particularly those with mobility problems, prams, or lots of shopping. There will also be some minor improvements to footway immediately surrounding these raised kerbs where necessary.
Traffic Management
The works will start on Monday 2 October and will be completed by Tuesday 31 October. They will take place overnight between 7pm and 7am but also out of peak hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm on the dual carraigeway sections.
Traffic controls include two-way traffic signals and there will be Lane One closures on the dual carraigeway sections.
