The Project
The installation of the Phase 2 acoustic barriers on the M3 between junctions 3 and 4 was completed in mid March. The barriers have been installed on the northbound and southbound carriageways between Tekels Park and the Portsmouth Road roundabout.
Vegetation clearance and drainage work took place in September 2007, and the construction of the barriers took place between November 2007 and March 2008.
Work on the Phase 3 acoustic barriers began immediately after Phase 2 was completed.
