The Project
This section of the M5 requires resurfacing to improve ride quality and safety. The scheme will also reduce future disruption caused by unplanned maintenance on this section of the network.
These essential maintenance works involved resurfacing worn out carriageway on the Northbound and on the Southbound M5 between junctions 22 and 23.
Traffic Management
To minimise disruption to the travelling public, the work took place overnight, during which time lane closures and a 50 MPH speed limit were in place.
