The Project

Overnight work to replace the existing safety fence on the A2 at Lydden in Kent started on Monday 15th January and was completed Monday January 29th.

The replacement fence is made of steel, it is eight metres long and is 700mm high and was installed along a 0.6 mile (1km) section of the A2. The new fencing features an impact barrier on the approach to the fence which absorbs any impact from a vehicle.
