The Project

Works took place on the M42 at junction 3 (A435 Redditch) eastbound to implement Motorway Access Management. Work began in November 2006 and testing and commissioning took place during the period January to March 2007.

Motorway Access Management has been used overseas and has already operated successfully on the M6. These trails enabled us to develop guidelines for identifying other suitable junctions for introducing the system.
