The scheme will require three separate phases of narrow lane restrictions to be installed between Junctions 10 and 12 of the M4. Each narrow lane section will have a 50 mph speed limit, with average speed cameras being used to enforce this speed restriction to ensure the safety of roadside workers and road users alike. The individual phases will be in place:
- Section 1: Completed June 2007
- Section 2: July 2007 to October 2007 (weather permitting)
- Section 3: October 2007 to Mid March 2008 (weather permitting)
- Mid March - August: MIDAS Loop Installation
- Scheme completion: August 2008 (weather permitting)
