The Project
Works will take place at the Splitter Island in the middle of the A38/A516 Junction at Mickleover, Derby.
They will be carried out between Monday 5 February 2007 and Friday 23 Feb 2007.
Works will involve:
- Woodland improvements - thinning existing trees in order to let more light into the area, which will encourage a greater variety of plant life, which in turn will encourage a greater variety of animal life.
- Planting 450 new trees (alder, downy birch, black poplar and great willow), and 750 shrubs.
- Installing bird boxes.
Traffic Management
Traffic management will be restricted to 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Lane Two closure on the A516 slip on to the northbound A38, 9.30am to 3.30pm.
