The Project
Overnight safety work to lamp posts on the A23 near Patcham, West Sussex will began on Monday 5 February and was completed by the end of March. A number of lamp posts were replaced as the existing ones have reached the end of their working life. Work involved digging out and renewing the concrete bases that the lamp posts are cemented into.
To enable the work to be carried out, safely, drivers saw various entry and exit slip road closures which took place overnight when traffic levels are at their lowest between the hours of 10pm and 5am.
