The Project
Following the grant of planning consent by Wychavon District Council we are constructing a roundabout to allow the development of land located opposite the existing Hoo Farm Industrial Estate. Work started on Monday 19 February 2007 and is expected to take 15 weeks to complete.
Traffic Management
The existing traffic on the A449 will need to observe the existing 40mph speed limit. The traffic management provision, warning signs, cones etc is designed to protect the workforce and will be in place for the duration of the works. During the final phase of the works there may be some disruption to traffic when the existing road is joined to the new roundabout. Drivers will need to take care each time they drive through these roadworks because the layout may change as the works progress.
We are undertaking some additional works to provide sewer connections into the development, this phase should has been completed.
There are some minor remedial works for the contractor to finish which should be completed soon.
