The Project

Work to replace traffic lights on the A2 junctions with Coxhill, Wootton Lane and Lydden Hill at Lydden, near Dover in Kent, started on Monday 26 February and have now been completed.

The existing traffic lights have been replaced with new ones, improving traffic flow for road users at these junctions. The work was carried out both during the daytime and overnight throughout the ten weeks.

In addition to the traffic lights being replaced, some resurfacing work both on the Londonbound and the Coastbound section of the road was carried out to provide a smoother surface for road users along a 1.3 mile (2km) section of the A2.
