M1/M69 Public Consultation Information

Why we carried out this consultation?

The Highways Agency is developing options to improve the M1 motorway at Leicester Forest East and Thorpe Astley.  This consultation explained the options and allowed you to have your say on the project.

We have been carefully considering comments from local residents and stakeholders throughout the project to ensure a solution is achieved. Four previously considered options and two new options were shown in this consultation that balance all views. Your comments on the options were required to assist us to select a preferred option.

Your views are important to us

In 2006 the Highways Agency exhibited an option to the local community. The information we received back from local residents and stakeholders provided valuable feedback that has resulted in the two new options.

The two new options were included in the consultation exhibitions held on 2 and 3 March 2007. The public consultation ended on 31 May 2007.
