Works Programme

Phase 3: Southbound Entry Slip: October 2008 to February 2009

The new main A1 carriageway will be completed and traffic will travel under the new bridge. Traffic will not be able to pass east to west across the junction and diversion routes will be in operation. Access to service areas will be maintained.

Earth and road works for the east and west roundabouts, link road and slip roads will be completed during this phase. Works will be progressed in all areas of the site and slip roads will be opened as soon as they are completed.

Phase 4: Finishing Works: February 2009 to March 2009

Finishing works will be completed during this phase including landscaping, erection of permanent signage and road marking works. The works are programmed to be substantially completed in March 2009.

The new link road between the east and west roundabouts will be opened and traffic will be able to make the full range of movements at the junction.
