The Project
Work was carried out to repair worn out bridge joints on the bridge carrying the A453 trunk road over the River Soar canal approximately 2km east of junction 24 of the M1.
The work was required urgently to replace a bridge joint which has failed, leaving an uneven and potentially hazardous road surface. Temporary repairs have been tried several times, but a permanent repair was needed.
