The Project

The Coastbound carriageway of the A21 near Tonbridge was closed from the 11 to the 14  May for resurfacing work between the A21 Upper Haysden Lane Bridge and Vauxhall Lane in Tonbridge, Kent.  The work started at 7.30pm on Friday 11 May and was completed by 5am on Monday 14 May. A fully signed diversion route was in place.

In order for the work to be carried out safely, the Coastbound carriageway of the A21 was closed between Morleys Interchange and the junction with the A2014 throughout the work, which took place 24 hours per day. A fully signed diversion route was in place directing traffic through Tonbridge using the B245, A227, A26 to rejoin the A21 at the junction with the A2014.
