M25 Night Works - six weeks from 29 July 2008
Road planing, resurfacing and rolling, white line painting and the construction of bridge joints and environmental barriers. There will be some illumination of the working area, occasional noisy operations and plant movements.
This work is weather dependent and may therefore take place over weekends, it is not expected to occur for more than ten nights in the period close to residents.
A282/A2 Installation of Road Signs
We will be installing new road signs on the A282, at the bottom of the highway embankment by Brent Way.
This work is planned during night working hours (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) in the week beginning:
- Monday 1st September 2008
Some vehicle movement, illumination and activity may be seen and heard for up to six nights of work. The working area will be accessed from the A282, with hard shoulder and lane closures, hence the reason for working at night.
Further signs will also be erected on the A2 coastbound in this period.
A2 Central Reserve and Gantry Work
Some works are still continuing on the A2, this work can only be completed over night between approximately 10.00 p.m. and 5 a.m, since some lanes or the carriageway will need to be closed in one or both directions.
A282 Night work
Further night work will continue in the area of the A282.
Working hours overnight are between 22:00 and 05:30hrs. (This particular work will be done on Monday to Fridays only).
There will be some lane closures and diversions on the roads.
Whilst every effort will be made to minimise any noise and disturbance to the local community throughout the construction period, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.
If you do experience any problems as a result of the work or wish to discuss any aspect of the scheme, please contact Martin Griffiths, Costain Community Relations Manager on the local rate public helpline 0845 603 6374 or by email at martin.griffiths@costain.com.
We will continue to liaise closely with both Dartford and Sevenoaks local authorities throughout the contract in respect of our application for consent for these works under Section 61 of The Control of Pollution Act 1974.
