The Project
A 3 mile section of the northbound carriageway of the A38 between the Toyota Interchange and A516 Mickleover Junction was resurfaced between Monday 18th June and Friday 13th July.
The resurfacing work on the northbound A38 between Toyota Island and A516 by Lafarge May Gurney was completed on Saturday morning 7th July, a week ahead of schedule. However, further work was required on the 12th July to insert sign posts.
Traffic Management
In order to keep disruption to a minimum, the works were carried out when traffic flows were lightest, between 8pm and 6am each night from Monday to Saturday and involved the full closure of A38 northbound carriageway.
