Traffic Management

Traffic Management

Traffic management is currently in place between Turnpike Roundabout and the Castle Eaton Junction, with two narrow lanes of traffic being maintained in both directions via a 'contraflow' arrangement operating under a 40 mph speed limit. Two narrow lanes were installed south of Turnpike Roundabout for around 800 metres in January 2008.

Forthcoming Traffic Management

From Spring '08 onwards, we will be starting to switch the traffic from old road layout to the new layout.

The first part of this will be to switch Lady Lane traffic to the new Lady Lane Bridge in May 2008. The traffic signals at the existing Lady Lane junction will then be removed and replaced with a temporary set at the ColdHarbour/Highworth Road Junction.
